Making procurement documents visible inside SAP

We built two SAP Fiori dashboards that let a procurement team see every purchase-order document from the moment it arrives to the moment it's indexed in SAP, and see exactly why some documents still need a person.

The challenge

Purchase-order documents flowed into SAP for indexing. When numbers didn't add up or a document stalled, the team had no single view. Answering "where is it, and why?" meant digging through raw transactions.

What we built

  • PO monitoring and error analytics. A Fiori dashboard that tracks purchase-order documents from intake to indexing, with drill-down from totals to the raw transactions behind them.
  • Document processing pipeline. A process view of incoming procurement documents: how many clear touchlessly, how many need manual intervention, and how many are rejected, broken down by cause.

How we approached it.

  1. Mapped the document flow and the questions the team asked every day.
  2. Built OData services on the ABAP back end to expose the right data.
  3. Designed the Fiori front end around totals first, with drill-down to the detail.
  4. Delivered in the client's landscape, following its transport process, and handed over the documentation.

Why it matters. Once you can see where documents get stuck, you can fix the cause, and it's the first step toward automating the manual cases with AI.
